Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-volume emergency department, including assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring
• Establish and maintain IV access, administer medications, and assist with emergency procedures as ordered
• Perform timely patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with physicians and the care team
• Protect patient safety, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and manage patient flow during high-acuity events
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care and disposition
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications
• ER nursing experience preferred; ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced ED
• Demonstrated clinical judgment, critical thinking, and strong documentation skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting
• Must meet credentialing and immunization requirements as part of the assignment process
