Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide advanced emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment, ensuring timely assessment and treatment of patients with diverse medical conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients rapidly upon arrival to determine priority and acuity levels.
• Administer trauma management, triage, and advanced life support interventions.
• Maintain proficiency in IV access and other emergency procedures.
• Document patient conditions and treatments accurately using appropriate charting systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with certification standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, preferably WV or Compact, verified within the last 2 days.
• Possess 1-2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in rapid assessment, trauma management, and advanced life support.
• Hold current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (preferred).
• Be willing to work 36 hours weekly, with shifts from 11a-11p or 1p-1a, including weekend rotations.
• Be within 75-100 miles of the facility, with appropriate references from the past 2 years.
