Job Summary:
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) specialized registered nurse position available in a facility located in an unspecified area. The role involves providing critical care services to patients with complex conditions such as ventilated, bipap, and airvo-assisted patients, as well as those undergoing bariatric or general surgery. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift length, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Iowa (IA) or compact/multistate nursing license; 24 months of current ICU/Intensive Care experience; active BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications; NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred; documented active Iowa license; skills specific to ICU nursing; recent/current experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS certification (can be obtained during onboarding); trauma nursing core competency certificates active at the time of application.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have comfort caring for 2-5 critical patients; recent travel experience within the previous 24 months required; must be able to conduct telehealth readings/measures; provide references from within the last 24 months; may be required to work 1-2 of the upcoming 3 winter holidays unless the unit is closed; orientation dates are 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26.
