Assistant Grocery Manager - DLT Job Code: 839 | Department: Grocery | Reports To: Grocery Manager | Supervises: N/A | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Location: Retail Store Locations | Created/Updated Date: January 2026 Requisition #: 2614481 Assist to manage and supervise up to 25 associates in the Grocery Department. May also be assigned responsibility for the HBC/GM Department. Is responsible for assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and applicable laws. What You’ll Do Interview and train associates. Plan, assign, and direct work. Assist in appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. Address complaints and resolve problems. What You Bring High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Complete company training including but not limited to new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge. Compensation Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $19.00/hour and $25.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
