Locum MD (Medical Doctor), Psychiatry

This contract, on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide critical mental health services in a supportive and collaborative environment within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various mental health disorders. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver quality care and contribute to patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide psychotherapy and medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
• Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in psychiatric practice

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• State medical license to practice psychiatry
• Strong clinical skills and experience in psychiatric evaluation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Compassionate approach towards patient care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

Schedule: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8:30a-5p

No call or weekends

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Population: Ages 65+

Duties: Follow-up assessments and medication management

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
