Position Location : Charlottesville, VA Position Status : Full-time Standard Working Hours : Monday – Friday, about 8a to 5p Responsibilities The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Education High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Certification / Licensure Certification must be received within 9 (nine) months of employment in one of the following programs: CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant CMA – Certified Medical Assistant RMA – Registered Medical Assistant EMT – Emergency Medical Technician BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
