Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 7 PM to 7 AM, weekdays, every other weekend, with a guaranteed 36 or 48 hours (RN's choice).

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Department, caring for adult and geriatric patients, with a patient ratio of 5:1. The unit supports a range of conditions, including neurological and respiratory issues, and utilizes Cerner for charting.

RNs will float to the Emergency Department if needed and work with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the Emergency Department with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips and manage heparin protocols.
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and care for ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• 1 year of experience in the specialty area preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; CPI certification must be scheduled with Qualivis and obtained at least one week prior to start.
