Optical Technician / Optical Sales

Role: An Optical Technician is responsible for delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience by supporting both medical needs and retail sales. They dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs with suitable products and services. Responsibilities: Build patient relationships, determine needs, assist in selecting frames, operate optical instruments, educate patients on lenses and frames, accurately measure facial and eye parameters, dispense orders, and perform frame repairs and adjustments. Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of customer/patient interaction experience, preferably in a medical or ophthalmic setting. High school diploma or GED required. ABO and NCLE certifications are preferred but not mandatory. Must pass background checks and proof of legal right to work is required. Skills and Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong fine motor skills, visual and auditory acuity, and physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to communicate effective and operate optical equipment. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Primarily office or clinical setting with activities involving walking, sitting, standing, bending, reaching and occasional driving or climbing.
