Full Time 40 Hours Weekly Saint Louis, MO, US Summary:Proficient knowledge of preventive dentistryincluding,the ability to instruct patients in the common causes of decay and oral hygiene. Ability to work under direct supervision of otherdentist'sand departmenthead. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Knowledge of procedures for receiving, routing, scheduling and releasing patients. Maintain and order supplies. Knowledge of proceduresfor tracking and processing digital radiographs. Knowledge of basic dental instruments and materials in manipulating suctioning and retraction apparatus in patient's mouth whileassistingdentist.(Utilizethe practice of four handed dentistry) Skill and dexterity in placing and manipulating motor driven instruments to perform intraoral prophylaxis procedures. Responsible for registration of patients, updating insurance and other information. Make appointments in coordination with school linkeddentist. Collect fees and close out the day. Assistsin oral exams, works with special needs families, reviews HIPAA consent forms with patients. Sets up dental equipment, coordinates with school nurses and staffregardingsetup and student schedule. Conducts cleanings (prophy)andadministerfluoride treatment. Use proper isolation techniques to place dental sealants. Ability to clearlyarticulate anddemonstrateoral hygiene instructions andpost operativedental instructions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
