Responsibilities Greets guests and answer questions regarding food items that have been served. Ensures all courses are served promptly. This includes plated, buffet style, or family style events. Always maintains a professional appearance, clean and well-groomed as per standards. Assists with breakdown of food expo line. Follows all policy and procedures according to company and department. Maintains all work areas (cleanliness and safety) throughout shift, responsible for closing duties according to department standards. Maintains the highest standards of professionalism to guests and co-workers. Works quickly and under minimum supervision. Lifts, carries, pulls and pushes a maximum of 30 pounds. Other duties as assigned. Requests stock and checks Expo line to monitor stock levels. Maintain cleanliness of workstation. Prepare Expo line for the following shift by completing opening and closing duties. Ability to be self-directed and make decisions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Equivalent to a high school education with knowledge of services and dining procedures is preferred. Must be 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
