Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in La Plata, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized obstetrical and postpartum care in a community hospital setting, including assisting with deliveries, neonatal assessments, and postpartum teaching. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours per week, with a contract length of 13 weeks starting from 06/15/2026.
• Required Qualifications: MD RN or compact license; BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM certification, NIH, CPI; stable certification preferred; minimum 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, Epic charting system experience.
• Float: Float rotation within all areas of the Labor and Delivery department, including Mother-Baby/ postpartum units, may be required.
• Additional Information: The facility has a 4-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, Level I nursery, and a dedicated OR and triage area. Typically, about 50-60 deliveries are performed monthly. Staff are trained to work across all sections of the department and must be comfortable circulating and catching babies.
