Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Analyst

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures that all data in the HRIS is accurately processed and maintained according to organization rules and applicable regulations
- Responsible for the security of the HRIS system
- Defines system requirements and works with external vendors to evaluate HRIS software and systems
- Consulting with the Employee Services team and leadership to determine HRIS needs
- Analyze HRIS performance metrics and resolve application issues
- Documenting internal processes (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Identifying opportunities for new processes that will remove deficiencies
- Developing and implementing processes and systems
- Develops and maintains dashboards of key HR performance indicators
- Performs ad-hoc analyses that support strategic initiates
- Assist employees with HRIS related questions
- Participates in directs internal processes regarding application upgrades, as well as providing training and technical support
- Enters information into the HRIS and approves pending changes. Maintains the integrity of the employee's record within the HRIS system. Reviews all onboarding candidates for completion and move to the payroll system
- Optimizing HRIS processes and integrating new software
- Performs statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data and running queries
- Performs audits on departmental processes and documents, including hiring, termination, timekeeping, and payroll administration when required.
- Keeps track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS
- Provides back up to payroll and benefits administration as needed
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Partner with team for employee engagement and communication activities
- Participate in, and or lead, special projects within Employee Services Department
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration or related area of study or equivalent experience.
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, including the ability to troubleshoot problems, recognize areas for process improvements and identify and communicate trends.
- Ability to collaborate, provide a high level of customer service, and lead projects
- Ability to work with a variety of computer application including but not limited to Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
PREFERRED
- Preferred experience with UltiPro and Cognos Analytics or HRIS systems.
- Experience using reporting/query tools and data management (i.e. Cognos Analytics)
- Project Management Certification
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Material and equipment directly used: Computers, computer software to include MS Office products, HRIS, copier, scanner, fax machine, telephone.
- Office environment requiring professional dress and appearance.
- Sit 4-8 hours per day.
- Use hands for fine manipulation.
- Walk and or stand for 0-4 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds infrequently and up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Occasional travel, which on occasion will be overnight.
