Advertised Job Type: Permanent - Full-time regular employment Work Type: On Site Job Description Work Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm SUMMARY The Mig Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and blueprint requirements. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of our production process while contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Functions Interpret and work from blueprints, work orders, and weld symbols with accuracy. Perform mig welding on a variety of sheet metals and components, ensuring weld quality meets company and customer standards. Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment, selecting the proper settings for material and weld requirements. Safely use measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, and measuring tapes) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Maintain acceptable productivity levels while meeting deadlines. Follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Promote teamwork, positive communication, and adherence to company values. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to pass Sargent Metal mig weld test. Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety standards. Strong understanding of weld symbols and blueprint reading. Prior experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing a plus. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
