Outpatient Therapist Full Time, Day Shift As the only free‑standing psychiatric hospital in the Central Kentucky area, we help the community. Join our team as we expand services to meet the needs of the region. The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110‑bed hospital in Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance‑use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, offering Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, and Medication Management for all ages. We have served more than 92 Kentucky counties for over 39 years. Responsibilities Job Duties include: Provide therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental and substance abuse diagnoses. Coordinate treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization review. Conduct psychosocial assessments. Assess, develop, and implement groups to enhance treatment of patients. Assist inpatient and outpatient programs when school is not in session. Qualifications Job qualifications: Education Master’s degree in social work or other mental health field required. Certifications / Licensure Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field required, e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT , etc. Crisis intervention training required (offered upon hire). CPR required (offered upon hire). Experience One to two years of mental health experience required. Other Skills Written and oral communication skills. Case management skills. Time management skills. Knowledge of acute psychological disorders and advanced principles of abnormal psychology. Familiarity with follow‑up resource services available to patients. Skills in conducting individual and family sessions. Skills in maintaining highly confidential information. Ability to treat all age populations as needed or develop skills through the organization’s cross‑training program; ability to summarize relevant clinical information in written correspondence and medical records documentation.
