File in accordance with established policies and procedures.Retrieve resident records (manually/electronically). Deliver as necessary.File information such as nurses’ notes, resident assessments, progress notes, laboratory reports, x-ray results, correspondence, etc. into resident charts.Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts as required.Assist MDS Coordinator in scheduling assessments in accordance with current facility and OBRA guidelines.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDExperienceAbility to type a minimum of 45 words per minute and use dictation equipment.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information, coding, and indexing preferred but not required.Proficient in the use of computer systems (Word, Excel, Electronic Health Record system, etc.)Must have excellent command of English language.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, vendors, and the general public.Must possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions.Must possess the ability to make decisions using discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to the Company.Must be in good standing with the Federal and State GovernmentExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work a flexible scheduleWe are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination /harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
