Job Summary:
The operating room nurse position is based in a large acute care hospital located in Burbank, California. The role involves working in the operating room environment performing preoperative and intraoperative duties for various surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This assignment requires a minimum of two years of experience, including at least one year of charge experience, and candidates must be available to work the specified shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Location: Burbank, California
• Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required Qualifications: California license must be in hand; minimum 2 years of experience in operating room procedures, including at least 1 year of charge experience; certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS); experience in procedures such as lobectomy, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, spinal fusion, total joint replacements, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, and related safety protocols.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, BLS
• Additional Requirements: Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked. LA fire card within the last 30 days is required. References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years in operating room settings with 1 year of charge experience
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: The role encompasses a broad range of surgical procedures in a community hospital setting, with a focus on patient safety, infection control, and team collaboration.
• Additional Notes: All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must be willing to work holidays and include RTO at time of submission.
