Mail Order Pharmacy Technician - Tempe, Arizona

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a dynamic mail order pharmacy team in Tempe, AZ, seeking three certified Pharmacy Technicians to support prescription processing and medication dispensing. This 13-week contract opportunity, with a possibility to transition to permanent, demands a dependable and detail-oriented professional to ensure smooth daily operations from start to finish.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
No weekend shifts required
Flexible availability within these shift windows is essential

Responsibilities:

Enter new prescriptions, refills, and patient data accurately into the order management system
Verify prescription details to ensure compliance and accuracy
Count, dispense, and label medications according to pharmacy guidelines
Prepare and coordinate shipments, including printing labels, sorting packages, and managing courier schedules to meet service level agreements
Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment following Arizona Board of Pharmacy policies

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Current Arizona pharmacy technician license and national certification
Proven reliability with strong attendance and punctuality
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Positive, proactive, and collaborative work attitude
Capability to work independently while following direction as needed
Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
