Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

Harvest Talent Solutions has an excellent opportunity with a small format hospital for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced emergency room environment delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: 12-Hour shifts | Days & Nights available

Location: Carlisle, PA 17013

Compensation: $38.00 to $52.00 per hour , based on experience, shift, and qualifications. Shift differentials available for nights and weekends.

Essential Job Functions

• Assess, plan, prioritize, implement, and evaluate age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Deliver advanced specialty nursing care while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity
• Accurately and consistently document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Observe, record, and report patient signs, symptoms, behaviors, and physiological status
• Recommend revisions to care plans, interventions, and desired outcomes as patient conditions evolve
• Follow physician orders and established clinical protocols in the delivery of nursing care
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established procedures and COLA and CLIA regulations
• Adhere to infection control, isolation, and aseptic techniques at all times
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures
• Assemble equipment and supplies and assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures
• Provide care in accordance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards, including state Board of Nursing requirements

Other Job Functions

• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities as assigned
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and company-sponsored meetings
• Float to alternate locations as requested based on staffing needs and patient care requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and operations

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, required; BSN preferred
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time RN experience in the Emergency Department or comparable acute care setting
• Current BLS, ACLS or ALS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ENPC may be accepted in place of PALS
• TNCC preferred
• Certifications may be obtained prior to starting, if not currently held
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
