About the Job CNC Machinist
We are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss-Type Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining Swiss-type CNC equipment and is comfortable working with Fanuc controls. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of general machine shop practices. Candidates should also come equipped with their own machinist toolbox and the ability to work independently with precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components.
- Use Fanuc controls to run programs, make offsets, and ensure proper machine operation.
- Perform in-process inspection using standard metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machine performance, and part quality.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area in line with standard machine shop practices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Swiss-type Machinist required.
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Ability to work from prints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Must supply personal machinist tools/toolbox.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
