Medical Director - Psychiatry

Overview The Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) is seeking a Medical Director to join our community mental health practice. This is a unique opportunity to develop and participate in innovative practice models in a small-town Vermont setting. CSAC is a recognized leader in Open Dialogue, peer-based crisis support alternatives, and trauma-informed systems work. Responsibilities Provide leadership to the Psychiatry team and collaborate with colleagues to support high-quality client care at all levels of the organization. Engage in clinical supervision and/or direct client care as appropriate to interests and experience. Ensure compliance with relevant state regulations and act as liaison to community partners. Advocate for services and participate in strategic planning to influence the future of psychiatry in Addison County. Qualifications Psychiatrist eligible for licensure in Vermont. Ability and eligibility to bill for services; must have or obtain an NPI number (CSAC will assist with credentialing if needed). Experience in leadership, clinical supervision, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is preferred. Strong interest in shaping critical community services and trauma-informed, relationship-centered care. Employment Details This position could be part-time or full-time. Full-time salary starting in the range of $200K–$235K.
