Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs ofthe patient, nurse and physician.Job Qualifications Must be a licensed registered pharmacist in the state of OhioMust be vaccination certifiedMust have good communication skills and the ability to work in interdisciplinary team settingsJob Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret physicians’ orders for appropriateness, ensure that over/under doses have not beenprescribed and that interactions, incompatibilities, or toxic compounds will not result from the combination ofmedications; assure that drugs are appropriately labeled, stored, and utilized according to physicians’instructions.Dispense prescriptions to outpatients in accordance with The Centers’ policy and in conformance withregulations and laws dealing with the class of prescription; counsel patients about their medications, andmaintain an accurate, up-to-date patient profile.Supervise pre-packing of drugs and control procedures.Provide drug information such as dosing, compatibilities, formulary substitutes, etc. to nurses, physicians, andother health care practitioners.Maintain compliance with 340b pharmacy regulations.Verify the work performed via supportive personnel, which includes, but is not limited to, patient drug data entry,cassette filling, unit-dose drug distribution policies and procedures.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the profession and comply with National Standards of Continuing Education(NSCE) in order to maintain professional competency and proficiency.Assure that the quality of professional services is maintained.Other Job DutiesPerform other related duties as assigned.About The Centers The Centers provide health, family, and workforce services at 11 locations throughout Greater Cleveland, creating life-changing solutions for people to lead healthier and more successful lives.
