Position Summary

The Chapel Music Leader is responsible for assisting the Worship Arts Pastor and Chapel Worship Coordinator in leading music in the Chapel service. That responsibility will include using the song selections and special music to enhance the message and create an atmosphere that helps people to Follow Jesus and Find Life.

Key Responsibilities

• Select appropriate hymns and special music as it relates to the subject matter for that service including special services (Easter, Christmas, etc.)

• Management of music leaders to include leading congregational singing or securing an appropriate person to lead when absent

• Coordinating with Chapel Worship Coordinator to double check hymn arrangements and other information for slides prior to Sunday services.

• Selection and preparation of special music ensembles

• Directing the Chapel Choir including song selection, all rehearsals, and recruitment of talent when required

• Other duties as required and presented by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in leading vocal groups

• Proficient leadership of congregational singing

• Ability to work with teams to produce quality worship experiences

• Ability to set priorities and work independently to accomplish goals
