As a Sushi Cook, you will play an essential role in creating exceptional dining experiences by crafting high-quality sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine with precision, creativity, and attention to detail. The starting rate: $27.038/hr The day-to-day:

• Apply advance knife skills required for making sushi and other Japanese dishes
• Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail of plate presentation
• Ensure food quality is superior and correct any irregularities
• Conduct inventory on a regular basis of specified food items and proper par levels
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning as well as cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas
• Follow recipes according to Chef specifications
• Notify Room Chef or Sous Chef of challenges that arise and how they have been corrected
• Assist with pantry and preparation areas

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum 1 year of sushi preparation experience in a professional restaurant environment required.
• Experience preparing a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred.
• Pastry or dessert preparation experience is a plus and would be considered an added benefit.
• Must be flexible and available to work a part-time, on-call schedule, including varied shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak business periods as needed based on operational demands
