Job Description

The Lead Analytical Scientist - Chromatography will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting chromatographic method development, optimization, and routine testing at a client site. This role emphasizes hands-on laboratory work, technical leadership, and collaboration within a cross-functional team, with a strong focus on HPLC- and UPLC-based techniques for protein and antibody characterization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical assays with a high level of accuracy and compliance
• Lead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic methods
• Design and execute novel separation and identification assays
• Perform separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and related techniques
• Develop chromatography methods including:
  • Size Exclusion
  • Affinity
  • Reverse Phase
  • Normal Phase
  • Ion Exchange
  • Hydrophobic Interaction
• Utilize DAD and FLD detectors to support analytical workflows
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team
• Support documentation, data review, and method lifecycle activities as required

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HPLC experience , preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments
• Demonstrated experience with HPLC and UPLC method development
• Strong understanding of chromatographic theory and practical application across multiple modalities
• Experience developing and running both routine and novel analytical assays
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or a Group Leader

Position is on-site, full-time, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Branchburg, New Jersey, are encouraged to apply
