Water Resources Design Engineer-EIT/PE

Job Details:
My client is seeking an experienced Water Resources Design Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer to work on diverse and challenging projects while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering designs, studies, calculations, and technical reports.
Develop and review design details, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
Prepare construction contract documents and final design packages.
Ensure designs comply with applicable technical standards and requirements.
Participate in client presentations and public meetings.
Support field inspections and project research.
Assist with training and mentoring junior engineers and CADD users.
Stay current with water resources design methods, standards, and industry trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Virginia PE preferred.
5–10 years of professional engineering experience.
Strong water resources engineering and design experience.
Experience with construction documents, specifications, and engineering plans.
VDOT experience preferred.
Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills.
