To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues.About the Role:Our Patient Care Associates play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. PCAs are the heart of our patient experience. They manage a high volume of calls, provide accurate information, and assist patients with their healthcare needs.Key Responsibilities:As a PCA, your responsibilities will include:Greet patients and visitors with a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor.Manage front desk reception duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in/out patients.Maintain efficient patient flow and coordinate with medical staff to minimize wait times.Assist with patient registration, including collecting and verifying billing and payment information.Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including managing medical records and assisting with patient follow-up.Handle patient inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources or staff members.Ensure the front desk and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.Work Schedule:This is a full-time, onsite role with evening hours and rotating Saturdays.Benefits:Salary will be based on experience and will be accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package including an exceptional low cost medical plan option for you, your spouse/domestic partner and/or your family, dental insurance, vision insurance, no cost life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, Flexible Spending Account, Tuition Assistance, commuter benefits, a generous paid time off plan, and a 403B retirement savings plan.Education, ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in a medical service environment, specifically with front desk activities preferredKnowledge of Federal & NY State patient privacy regulations/laws a plusDesired Characteristics, SkillsExcellent attention to detailStrong customer service skillsAbility to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stressAbility to multi-taskCommitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde #J-18808-Ljbffr Callen--lorde
