Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client, a highly stable and well-established investment firm, to recruit for an Investment Banking Associate to join their team. The Associate will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, and supporting senior team members in a hands-on, high-impact setting. Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of middle-market transactions across various industries
• Build and maintain financial models, including valuation and scenario analysis
• Conduct financial and operational due diligence
• Prepare client-ready materials, including presentations and transaction documentation
• Collaborate closely with senior team members on active deal processes
• Contribute to research and analysis to support client engagements
• Participate in daily in-office team cadence, including an 8 a.m. team meeting

Required Skills

• Background in transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or similar deal-based environments
• Experience with firms such as Baker Tilly, RSM, Eide Bailly, or similar (TAS), or prior experience as an Analyst within an investment bank or private equity firm
• Strong financial modeling and foundational accounting knowledge
• Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to operate in a less structured, evolving environment
• High emotional intelligence and ability to integrate into a collaborative, team-oriented culture
• Long-term mindset with an understanding of performance-based and transaction-driven compensation structures
• Strong communication and organizational skills
