Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift Responsibilities Collect and process blood and other specimens from patients of all ages according to established policies and procedures for clinical laboratory testing to ensure accurate lab results that assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Obtain needed supplies; verify patient identification; prepare skin site; and perform venipuncture and skin puncture using established aseptic techniques. Label specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis. Float to other Patient Care Centers if needed. Work Hours/Shift 40 hours per week; flexible start and end times based on center’s operating hours. Will float to other centers when needed; dependable transportation required.
