Mammography Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammo Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you'll perform specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow FDA mammography guidelines, complete daily QA and preventative maintenance scheduling, and maintain accreditation records.
• Experience with electronic records systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS.
• Preferred: Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist. Preferred cross-training in CT, MRI, and DEXA.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography imaging procedures according to department protocols and radiologist direction.
• Provide patient education, obtain informed consent, and verify patient identity by two identifiers.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including charge capture for procedures and supplies.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles. Operate and troubleshoot mammography equipment per manufacturer recommendations and coordinate service calls when needed.
• Manage daily operations of the women's health section of radiology, including QA, accreditation documentation, structured reporting, and workflow tracking.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, patient transportation, and cross-train or assist in other imaging modalities as needed.
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory for the unit.
• Participate in department and organization performance improvement, mandatory education, and maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
