About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Experience in a large Labor and Delivery unit/facility, must have experience with postpartum care, baby nurse, and meconium deliveries. Description: MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 HOLIDAY BUNDLES. Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are included. No RQI certifications accepted. Due to high volume, there may be difficulties scheduling an NRP class in time for your requested start date. Flexibility in floating to antepartum and postpartum units is required. Clinicians must be willing to float as needed to meet facility requirements. Experience in circulating and FHM skills is required. Clinical duties include cerclage, version, C/S, PPTL, external and internal monitoring, AROM, and medically assisted deliveries. Neonatal palliative care, nitrous, massive transfusion protocol, and malignant hyperthermia experience are preferred. Staff will rotate between Labor and Delivery and OB triage units. Experience with a daily census of approximately 8 births is preferred. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults. Candidates must have experience with interpretation of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and triage of obstetrical patients. Experience in a facility with over 300 births per month is preferred. This position requires a commitment to quality patient care in a supportive team environment. Detailed knowledge of childbirth procedures and postpartum care is essential for success in this role.
