Job Summary OGX is seeking a Lead Barista to be the front line supervisor for its Café Operations at the NYC Flagship location. The Lead Barista will be responsible for the daily oversight, training, and development of team members, and delivering exceptional Guest Experience. They will be the LOD (Leader on Duty) for the retail café and must display leadership abilities while working as part of a team to yield goal-oriented results. This part-time position pays $21.00 per hour. Responsibilities Provide leadership and sound judgment to the CaféServices team to the benefit of the company Implement operations policies, processes, procedures, and standards as it relates to the café and overall food/beverage department Train and develop a world-class retail café operations team Actively participate in defining the team culture and incorporating it into the café operations Assist in establishing basic personnel standards for the café and overall food/beverage department Be part of the LOD (Leader on Duty) retail café rotation Assess the effectiveness of the team, providing feedback to management, and enforcing disciplinary actions as outlined in the employee handbook and training Oversee inventory levels; notify upper management of re-order needs to ensure smooth operation Additional duties as assigned Requirements Must possess NYC Food Handler’s Certificate Must be able to remain in a standing, stationary position more than 75% of the time Must be able to work a minimum of threeshifts, one of which must be a weekend day Must be able to frequently move food service inventory and equipment weighing up to 25 poundsMust be able to move about inside the retail coffee shop space Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Your Strengths Proven ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team Extremely organized and detail-oriented Ability to multitask effectively Maintains composure under pressure and enjoys working in a fluid environment Excellent problem solver Ability to effectively interface with the public Your Experience 2+ years of experience in food and beverage service/industry; previous café/barista experience a plus High school diploma (or its equivalent), some college is preferred (current students welcome to apply) One year of supervisory or management experience Benefits Flexible Schedule Paid Sick Time Why work at OGX We are an equal opportunity employer and encourage people with disabilities and from other diverse backgrounds to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr Original X Productions
