Registered Nurse - Oncology

$2230.40/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities: Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies following protocol and safety guidelines. Monitor patient responses to treatment, recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values and adverse reactions. Perform specialized procedures such as port care, PICC line management, Foley catheter installations, and peripheral IV insertions. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication administration, and post-treatment care. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records using Epic. Coordinate patient care across units and departments to optimize outcomes and ensure compliance with clinical standards. Qualifications: Valid state RN license with pending licensing acceptable. Minimum of 1 year acute care experience, preferably in oncology. Current BLS and ONS/ONCC certifications required. Epic charting experience mandatory. Ability to perform complex procedures including IV therapy and port management. Strong clinical judgment and patient education skills.
