Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital,
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5,
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00),
• Required to work every other weekend,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister campus depending on booking,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand, pending license not accepted,
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required,
• Must pass an EKG exam prior to start, no exceptions,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this unit,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus for travel pay eligibility,
• RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days, with only 1 holiday approved, subject to manager discretion,
• Returning staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler,
• Extensions limited to once for day shift and twice for night shift, after which a 6-month break is required before reapplying,
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white,
• Non-billable modules (4-10 hours) must be completed prior to start
