School-Based Registered Nurse

Step into a rewarding summer opportunity supporting students as a Registered Nurse in a school-based setting near Snohomish and Marysville, WA. This contract role offers a unique chance to make a positive impact during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, running from June 29 to July 30. You'll work in-person, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45am to 12:45pm, providing care and clinical expertise to students engaged in various educational programs.

Your responsibilities will involve working across two locations (final details to be confirmed) and supporting a diverse caseload within the summer school environment. Collaborate closely with special education teams, contribute to student well-being, and help ensure a safe learning environment throughout the ESY term.

Desired Background and Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington
• Current WA Special Education RN certification required
• Prior experience in school nursing is highly desirable
• Understanding of pediatric and adolescent care in educational settings
• Ability to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and work with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable providing care across multiple program sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, provide first aid, and respond to medical emergencies
• Monitor and support students ongoing health needs during class hours
• Maintain accurate health records and collaborate with school teams
• Educate students and staff on relevant health-related topics
• Ensure compliance with state and district health protocols

Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $57.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
