Surgical Technologist

Position Details Location: UCHealth Pikes Peak Reg Hospital, Woodland Park, CO. Department: PPRH Operating Room. Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Days. Pay: $27.61 – $41.41 per hour, based on experience. Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments; assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements High School diploma or GED or military trained. State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must remain current within sixty days of hire. At least 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
