Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Platform Operations and Engineer to manage, engineer, secure, and support enterprise Informatica platforms.

The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud, or IDMC , including its Cloud Data Integration capabilities and the cloud-based successor technologies used for enterprise data integration. IDMC provides services for building mappings, tasks, and taskflows, while its administrative capabilities include user and privilege management, Secure Agent and runtime environment configuration, connections, licenses, and schedules.

The engineer will be responsible for platform administration, environment reliability, security compliance, cloud migration, operational support, automation, monitoring, upgrades, and engineering improvements. The role will work closely with Application Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Architecture, IAM, DevOps, and Production Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Informatica IDMC Platform Engineering

• Engineer, administer, configure, and support enterprise Informatica IDMC environments.
• Support Informatica Cloud Data Integration services, including mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, schedules, connections, and runtime environments.
• Install, configure, manage, patch, and troubleshoot Informatica Secure Agents and Secure Agent groups.
• Support IDMC runtime environments across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain connections to databases, cloud data platforms, applications, APIs, file systems, and other enterprise data sources.
• Manage platform configurations across development, testing, UAT, pre-production, disaster recovery, and production environments.
• Participate in the migration and modernization of Informatica PowerCenter workloads to IDMC and Cloud Data Integration.
• Support CIBDC/CDI Advanced or equivalent cloud-native Informatica data integration capabilities.
• Evaluate platform enhancements and implement reusable engineering standards, configuration patterns, and operational controls.

Platform Operations and Production Support

• Monitor the health, availability, capacity, performance, and utilization of Informatica platform services.
• Troubleshoot failed workflows, mappings, tasks, taskflows, connections, agent services, and runtime environment issues.
• Analyze platform logs and operational alerts to identify root causes and restore services.
• Provide production support and serve as an escalation point for complex Informatica platform incidents.
• Lead incident triage, problem management, root cause analysis, and preventive remediation.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards, alerts, health checks, and platform availability reports.
• Participate in release, change, incident, problem, and configuration management processes.
• Support production deployments, maintenance activities, disaster recovery exercises, and environment validation.
• Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and recovery runbooks.

Internal CCIBT platform-support materials emphasize production monitoring, deployments, vulnerability remediation, security patching, operational documentation, and alignment with IT service-management processes.

Application Security and Access Management

• Partner with the Application Security team to implement secure platform configurations and operational controls.
• Administer IDMC users, user groups, roles, privileges, permissions, and project-level access.
• Implement and support role-based access control and least-privilege access principles.
• Integrate the platform with enterprise authentication, authorization, and identity-management services.
• Perform periodic access reviews and assist with the remediation of inappropriate or outdated access.
• Manage service accounts, technical accounts, credentials, certificates, secrets, and connection security in accordance with enterprise policies.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security patching, certificate renewal, credential rotation, and platform hardening.
• Provide technical evidence and platform documentation for security reviews, risk assessments, and audit requests.
• Investigate access-related incidents and work with security teams to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that sensitive configuration information and credentials are appropriately protected.

Cloud Migration and Modernization

• Support migration from legacy Informatica PowerCenter and related on-premises components to IDMC.
• Assess existing mappings, workflows, sessions, schedules, dependencies, and connections for cloud migration.
• Identify compatibility gaps and recommend remediation or redesign approaches.
• Plan and execute migration, testing, validation, cutover, and stabilization activities.
• Support coexistence between legacy PowerCenter and IDMC during phased migration.
• Establish cloud-ready development, deployment, monitoring, and support standards.
• Optimize migrated workloads for performance, maintainability, scalability, security, and operational supportability.
• Maintain traceability between legacy Informatica assets and corresponding IDMC assets.

DevOps, Automation and Release Engineering

• Automate repetitive platform administration and operational activities using scripting and APIs.
• Develop automation for environment provisioning, deployment, configuration validation, monitoring, health checks, and operational reporting.
• Integrate Informatica deployments with enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Support source control, version management, automated deployment, rollback, and release traceability.
• Promote consistent configurations and deployment processes across multiple environments.
• Develop reusable automation using shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or equivalent technologies.
• Support release validation and post-deployment verification.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve platform reliability through automation.

Reliability, Performance and Capacity Management

• Establish platform monitoring and service-health indicators for critical Informatica components.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning for mappings, tasks, taskflows, runtime environments, and Secure Agents.
• Monitor CPU, memory, storage, network, connection, and workload utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks involving source systems, target systems, agents, runtime clusters, or data-processing logic.
• Conduct capacity and growth analysis and recommend scaling actions.
• Support high availability, resiliency, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery requirements.
• Validate restart, recovery, job resumption, and failure-handling procedures.
• Drive improvements that increase platform stability, supportability, and operational readiness.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Informatica developers, data engineers, application owners, security teams, IAM teams, cloud engineers, database administrators, network teams, and infrastructure engineers.
• Provide platform guidance to application teams designing or migrating Informatica workloads.
• Review solution designs for operational readiness, security, supportability, and compliance with platform standards.
• Coordinate with Informatica support for product defects, platform issues, and complex troubleshooting.
• Communicate platform risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation plans to technical and management stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to platform operations and engineering team members.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Informatica platform administration, platform engineering, or platform operations .
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC and Cloud Data Integration.
• Experience managing Informatica Secure Agents, runtime environments, connections, schedules, users, groups, roles, and privileges.
• Experience supporting enterprise Informatica environments across development, testing, UAT, and production.
• Strong troubleshooting experience involving Informatica mappings, tasks, taskflows, agents, connectors, and platform services.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter administration and cloud-migration initiatives.
• Understanding of IDMC platform security, access management, credential management, and role-based access control.
• Experience supporting production incidents, root cause analysis, release management, and change management.
• Experience with public cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux or Unix administration and scripting.
• Experience with REST APIs, automation, and CI/CD tools.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, firewalls, proxies, ports, certificates, and secure connectivity.

• Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience integrating IDMC with cloud data platforms, databases, SaaS applications, APIs, and enterprise file-transfer solutions.
• Experience with Informatica Cloud Application Integration, Data Quality, Operational Insights, or Cloud Integration Hub.
• Experience with enterprise IAM, secrets-management, certificate-management, and privileged-access solutions.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or another highly regulated industry.

• Prior experience working in an enterprise application-security or regulated banking environment is highly desirable.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Informatica platform engineer who can operate and improve a business-critical platform while maintaining strong security, stability, and governance. The candidate should be comfortable moving between platform administration, production troubleshooting, cloud engineering, automation, security remediation, deployment support, and technical stakeholder coordination.

This individual should have practical experience with both legacy Informatica PowerCenter environments and modern IDMC cloud capabilities , with the ability to help application teams transition to a secure, automated, and operationally mature cloud platform.
