Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., established in 1994, is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, with plants in North Jackson, OH, Dunkirk, NY, and Titusville, PA. Universal Stainless produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel long products and plate including stainless steel, tool steel, bearing steel, gear steel, and aircraft quality low alloy steels for use in a variety of industries. Finishing Crew Member III
Wage Range: $21.75 to $22.25 after probationary period ends and $25.75 after UTC training completed (as openings are available).
Day shift: 7am to 7pm / 3 on, 2 off, 2 on 3 off
Night shift: 7pm to 7am / 3 on, 2 off, 2 on 3 off
12-hour shifts
Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience
Tow motor and crane experience
Must have reliable transportation
Duties
- Reviews traveler and other paperwork for Heat Treat requirements
- Consults Heat Treat Profile Management System to identify orders that may be heat treated together.
- Builds loads as required to maximize furnace fill.
- Operates rotary furnace controls to load/unload furnace as needed.
- Moves materials via tow motor or remove overhead crane.
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends
- Day shift or night shift
Education:
- High school Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Remote Crane: 1 year (Required)
- Forklift: 1 year (Required)
Shift availability:
- Night Shift or Day Shift (Required)
Work Location: One location
