About the Position

Start Date: October 29, 2026 (Orientation held every other Thursday)

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM weekdays; on-call rotation every 5th weekend

Highlights:

• Work in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital with 838 staffed beds
• 1:1 staffing ratios providing specialized patient care for adults and geriatrics
• Perform advanced procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, EVAR, TCAR, angiograms, and embolization
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system in a state-of-the-art interventional radiology environment
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free parking for travelers and structured orientation program

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Previous Interventional Radiology experience required (first-time travelers considered with appropriate IR experience)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Two manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption provided
• Experience with procedural sedation, cardiac monitoring, vascular access, and emergency medications preferred
