Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Areas of Responsibilities:Ensure the quality of materials meet quality standards and customer requirements through proactive quality assurance, continuous improvement, and strong supplier relationships.Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to enhance quality management systems and ensure compliance with company standards.Quality Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to assess their quality processes and identify areas for improvement.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations to reduce defects and enhance overall quality.Problem Solving: Address and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.Product Qualification: Ensure seamless supplier setup and execution of NPI material.Cost Out: Partner with suppliers to drive cost out of products in scope.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions.Training: Provide training and support to suppliers on quality standards, tools, and techniques.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to align supplier quality with company objectives.Compliance: Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on supplier quality performance to management.Skills and Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role.Ideal candidate has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) Certification.
