Assistant Controller

Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote) Compensation: $100K–$125K A high-growth professional services firm is seeking an Assistant Controller to support continued expansion. This is a newly created role reporting to the Controller. The position offers strong visibility, leadership opportunity, and involvement in scaling the accounting function. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close Manage billing, AR/AP, and financial reporting processes Ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls Partner with leadership to support growth and process improvements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related experience 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (flexible) Experience in law firm or professional services accounting US GAAP experience Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate BCBS medical, dental, and vision Firm-paid STD & LTD Unlimited PTO If this aligns with your background, let’s connect: Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Qualified applicants with arrest/conviction records will be considered per applicable laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
