Job Description Senior Caregiver Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves (aged 50+), make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort our care receiver's home.

SHS empowers seniors to continue to live independent lives by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

The mission of Seniors Helping Seniors: We change people's lives by matching more active seniors who want to help others with less active seniors who are looking for help. This mutually beneficial and enriching relationship provides both the caregiver and the recipient a way to give and receive. Our organization is made up of caring and compassionate senior caregivers who are committed to bringing love into the lives of seniors with dignity and respect.

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with our senior population
• Be a caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable individual
• Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
• Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS
• Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

• Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc
• Shopping and Errands
• Medication Reminders
• Overnight Supervision
• Incidental Transportation to doctor's appointments, family or their favorite restaurant

Personal Care Duties may include:

• Assist with Dressing
• Assist with Feeding
• Assist with Showering / Bathing
• Mobility Assistance
• Assist with Toileting / Incontinence
• Memory Care
