Frontend Engineer

Role Overview

Build scalable, high-quality web experiences while contributing real-world frontend expertise to the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on creating production-ready interfaces and helping improve how AI systems learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web interfaces using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including code reviews and continuous integration.
• Turn complex requirements into clean, efficient, reusable components.
• Communicate proactively in writing and verbally while supporting a strong remote team culture.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications to enhance performance and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of expert-level JavaScript and TypeScript experience, including hands-on work with modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• A demonstrated record of delivering high-quality, production-ready web applications.
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code that follows industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with team goals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent user experiences.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex frontend issues.
• Preferred: experience building accessible, responsive web applications; working on distributed, remote-first engineering teams; and using agile methods and modern development workflows.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $60 to $120 per hour.
