Associate Therapists assess the therapeutic needs of clients, develop appropriate treatment plans, and facilitate group, family and individual therapy sessions. Facilitates group, individual, and family therapy sessions in accordance with the clinical program schedule. Completes session notes, contact logs, discharge plans and other reports in compliance with State, accrediting bodies, quality guidelines and payor source guidelines. Facilitates specialized groups as assigned based on education, training, and experience. Attends clinical, consultation, and operations meetings; serves as a clinical advocate for assigned cases. Reads, understands, and adheres to all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests; adheres to facility policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education and Experience Position requires a masters degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology. A minimum of 1 year experience working with clients with primary mental health diagnosis is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to: o Communicate effectively with peers, clients, families, and external partners, o Sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time, o Move throughout the building, o Speak and hear. Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of start date. Proactively seeks supervision, consultation and continuing professional development to ensure knowledge and skills are maintained relative to position and clinical program delivery. Cultural Competence - continuously strives to provide client-centered, culturally competent care, recognizes, and affirms cultural and linguistic diversity through therapeutic alliances and ongoing professional development. Leverages established screening tools for psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-hard, and distress assessments, among others. Care Planning and Intervention - develops and implements evidence-informed care plans that promote clinical excellence throughout the client-centered continuum of care. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.
