Full Stack Software Engineer (Active DoD Security Clearance) - Washington, DC (Hybrid: 1-2 days onsite)

Required Skills & Experience
• Active US DoD Security Clearance (will not see candidates without this)
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience (flexible for strong junior candidates)
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience with system design and building scalable applications
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience or exposure to LLMs, NLP, or AI-driven applications



Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience working in startup or early-stage environments
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices
• Experience building full-stack applications (frontend + backend APIs)
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience working directly with end users or product teams



What You Will Be Doing

Tech Breakdown
• 50% Backend (Python, APIs, system design)
• 30% Frontend (TypeScript, modern web frameworks)
• 20% AI/LLMs & Data Systems



Daily Responsibilities
• 70% Hands-On Development (coding, architecture, implementation)
• 10% Strategic/Planning (system design, product input)
• 20% Team Collaboration (working with engineers, product, and users)
