The nurse will demonstrate proficiency in the nursing process, patient education, and clinical management to support patient outcomes. Job Details Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification required (American Heart Association); RN License in the state of New Mexico or an approved compact license. Schedule: 4 Days, 10 Hours/Day; 40 hours per week minimum. Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL). Shift: Days. Experience: Minimum of 0 years required, 1 year preferred. Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Make appropriate patient care assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to facilitate clinical management. Additional Information: Meet expectations of applicable competency standards. Demonstrate leadership qualities across self, others, or leaders of leaders. Maintain awareness of all relevant aspects of clinical situations, including long-range planning and contingencies. Ensure compliance with practice standards and protocols for patient safety and care quality.
