Senior Accountant

Our client is a leading electrical contracting company. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Long Island City, NY office. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, allocations, accruals, tax entries, and account reconciliations Ensure general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly Generate variance analyses to support FP&A and leadership in identifying trends and key insights in monthly financial reporting Support annual external audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain complete and accurate financial records Implement process improvements and efficiency initiatives within assigned responsibilities Compile monthly financial statements for joint venture entities in accordance with GAAP Assist on ad-hoc projects, including tax compliance initiatives or system implementation efforts Requirements 2-4 years of corporate accounting experience Public, private, or combo Open to industry, construction, or similar is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
