This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts per week, with guaranteed hours: 36.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a blended ICU/CVICU environment. This position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and execute care plans.
• Provide patient and family education related to care and health management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EHR (Medhost).
• Participate in emergency response and trauma procedures as needed.
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and assist in the ED for admitted patients as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with travel experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current RN license.
• Experience with common diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, and other critical conditions.
