$1,000 Sign-on Bonus Scope-Purpose A dental assistant in the state of Missouri may perform basic supportive dental procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist. Education/Experience Dental Assistant Certificate from an accredited school or 2 years dental assisting experience Nitrous Oxide certificate Expanded Functions certificates Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) Receive and prepare patients and operatories for dental treatment. Take digital x-rays. Using four-handed dentistry, assist with dental procedures, complete charting electronically, provide patient preventive education and oral hygiene instruction. Follow current infection control protocols for disinfection and sterilization of rooms, instruments and equipment. Recognize basic medical and dental emergencies. Display good customer service, communication and office teamwork.
