Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor RN Wausau, WI. This position involves providing patient care in a Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit, with a focus on adults with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal and infectious disease processes, and other acute health issues. The role requires adaptability, clinical resilience, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic inpatient environment. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: WI RN License, BLS American Heart Association or ARC, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years of experience, with trauma level II experience highly preferred. Schedule: 12-hour days; start time 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; guaranteed 48 hours per week. Additional responsibilities include floating to all inpatient units as needed and working every other weekend and holiday. Charting experience with Epic required. Desired skillset: Hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, capable of managing independently, collaborative, positive attitude, flexible to shift changes. Must be willing to comply with flu and COVID vaccination policies, including mask-wearing during flu season if declining vaccination.
