May include Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, or others. Determine system specifications. Support acquisition of hardware and software (or subcontractor services as needed).Responsible for technical activity and completion of assigned task on time and budgetDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments. Report of progress and status regularlyReview customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignmentsSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesSupport the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirementsDevelop prototypes to retire key development risksCommunicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as requiredParticipates in preparation of less-complex proposalsMay provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnelSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationAttend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetingsJob Responsibilities Part IIQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of experienceCompetent technical expertise and application domain knowledgeAbility to work independently U.S. Citizenship required.
